Do I inlcude his allowance into his gross pay? Also, I am registered Tax agent and have Auskey, how do I summit PAYG Payment summary verivication in portal? Thank you Zoya 0411 778883 zoyazpl@gmail.com.

Hi Suggest you first create a Payroll category called Travel Allowance and one called Meal Allowance (Lists Payroll Categories Wages) and click the Employee button to link these to the employee. These will then appear on the Pay History tab of the Employee Card.

Reallocate the gross between wages/salary and allowances. Then when setting up Payment Summaries via the Payment Summary Assistant, label an allowance as Travel and link the Travel Allowance payroll category to this allowance, do same with Meal Allowance - there are various Support Notes on setting up Payroll and the Payment Summary process if you get stuck. Once the Payment Summary process is completed, you will have an EMPDUPE file.

This can be lodged via the Business Portal using the File Transfer function on the bottom of the Left Side menu. Regards Gavin.
