Privacy Policy - Terms of Service - The Davis's Drug Guide For Nurses iPhone App is powered by Atmosphere Apps. Mony This app is a great, easy and reliable tool to find out about medications. The bad thing about it is that even if you hadn't renew your anual subscription, it still would let you use it, and now you can no longer do that.

I would snooze the reminder of the renewal and use it to look up a medication and eventually pay again for the subscription anyways. I was at work and since it does not allow you to do that anymore, I will not renew my subscription since I couldn't rely on it when I needed it.

My hospital offers at least two drug books linked to the charting system, I used them and found what I needed. There is also information available online for free. You should either lower the anual subscription or allow people to use it even if they haven't renewed the subscription. With that being said, they just lost a loyal customer that had renewed subscription and used this app for 5 years until now. Hi Mony, We understand your point of view and we greatly appreciate users like yourself that renewed on the honor system.

The fact is that with every update to iOS there is the potential for issues to appear in an app that need to be addressed and a new build released. Apps require ongoing maintenance from a development team even when there is not an update to features or data. Additionally it is important that our users are making their decisions with the most recent drug information simply as a matter of safety. Unfortunately, there was far to many users willing to rely on outdated information and not maintain their subscription and current drug information. For these reasons it was necessary for us to convert to a mandatory subscription model. Dfdemt While this is the drug app I like the most out of all the ones I have used, it still has a few issues. I've seen several new medications on TV commercials, but it seems to take forever for them to appear on here. The other, and perhaps the one I've read the most about, is that if your subscription expires, you can't access the app in the version you've already paid for which is like a textbook self destructing after one year. That ticks me off.

Because of those two things I give it 3 stars. I like it, and I'd recommend it, but I'd tell the person about those issues so they could make a more informed decision.

Wo223 I had the old Davis drug guide and loved it. But just like everyone else once I updated my iPhone this last time it was inop. So thought I’d try the one for nurses this time. Was working ok when I was in cell service range but didn’t realize it doesn’t work if you don’t have cell or WiFi until I was on a patient flight and needed to look up a medication and low and behold it doesn’t work.

Thanks a lot! Now I hate this app and need to find one that will stay on my phone. Anyway to get my money back??? Anyone have a recommendation on another drug book?? I had the old Davis drug guide and loved it. But just like everyone else once I updated my iPhone this last time it was inop.
